OverviewReimagined Samsung TV’s Multi View interface to streamline entry flows and enhance usability, optimizing interactions across diverse viewing scenarios.

UI Prototype Video
The prototype was created using ProtoPie,  considering actual remote control.

BackgroundToday, a world without screens is unimaginable. TVs no longer serve just to watch content; their interfaces continuously evolve to enable richer user experiences.  Samsung introduced the Multi View UI to make better use of large TV screens.

Phase 01:
Online Survey &
Concept Value Test
Through online surveys and concept value test on the Multi View feature, we gathered insights into current usage, usability, and identified new usage scenarios.

Phase 02:
Eye tracking User Test
We conducted an Eye Tracking Usability Test (UT) using a Lo-Fi prototype to evaluate the usability of Multi View entry, as well as the usability and visual fatigue associated with different numbers of split screens.

Phase 03:
Design Output
Based on Phases 1 and 2, we established new Multi View design principles and applied to the Multi View UI, improving both entry and overall interaction.
